ekg2-dbg software package provides instant messenger and IRC client for UNIX systems - debugging symbols, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ekg2-dbg
ekg2-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ekg2-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ekg2-dbg *
